Collinsville, IL [July 25, 2025] — Collinsville Township is celebrating a major milestone in energy savings and sustainability with the official handoff of its Renewable Energy Credits (REC) payment from a recent solar installation funded through an Illinois State Program

Installed by Advanced Renewable Concepts (ARC), the solar systems now power the Collinsville Senior Center and additional township office buildings. The systems are expected to offset more than $20,000 in annual electricity costs for the township, delivering direct savings to the community.

“This project is a perfect example of how public facilities can benefit from state energy programs,” said Juan Lozano, CEO of ARC. “By using solar, Collinsville Township is not only saving money but also leading the way in environmental responsibility.”

The State Program  provides organizations with affordable on-site solar panels through qualified and vetted solar companies called Approved Vendors. ARC is an Approved Vendor under the program and handled all aspects of the system design, permitting, and installation.

A check presentation ceremony will take place at 12:00 p.m. on July 25 at the Collinsville Senior Center, where ARC CEO Juan Lozano will present the check to Collinsville Township Supervisor Derrick Cox.
