Most homeowners don’t realize how much they’ll spend on electricity if they stay with their utility provider. Use the calculator below to estimate your 20-year electricity cost based on your current bill.
After you’ve provided your information, we’ll review your home and make sure it is solar-suitable.
We will visit your home to verify your roof condition, shade, structure, and your currently electric panel setup.
We design, permit, and install your entire system for $0 down and at $0 a month. You simply enjoy the savings.
If your home is a good fit, we will install a complete solar system at no cost to you. Program accessibility via PPA, No loans, no leases, no credit checks. Your electric utility bill will drop based on your solar production and usage.
Available for homes with Ameren Illinois or ComEd electric service. Other utilities like gas-only or municipal electric is not eligible.
If your home qualifies, you pay nothing to install and you pay nothing monthly for your solar system. You will still pay standard delivery charges to your utility company. However, because we approve only high efficiency systems, you should see a real reduction in your monthly electricity bill.
Solar – On the House is a Power Purchase Agreement with a contract rate of $0.00 per kWh. No upfront cost, loan, or lease. Utility bill continues for delivery and any grid energy. ARC owns and maintains the equipment. ARC or partners may retain incentives and RECs. Approval requires a site check, *solar-ready roof under 15 years old, Ameren IL or ComEd service, current utility payments, and modeled for high efficiency. Not a state program. Availability is limited and may change.
Your home is *solar-ready when it can host rooftop panels with high efficiency production. That means a sturdy roof, minimal shade, and an electrical panel with available capacity all while facing the right direction for optimal irradiance.
Advanced Renewable Concepts (“ARC”) may, in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, deny, suspend, or terminate a proposed no-cost PPA project prior to installation if ARC determines that the project:
(a) is ineligible under any applicable statute, regulation, ICC order, or IPA/Illinois Shines program rule, guidebook, or directive;
(b) fails utility interconnection, grid-capacity, or tariff requirements;
(c) presents structural, electrical, fire, or code-compliance risks;
(d) lacks clear site control, title, or required third-party consents (including HOA, landlord, or historic/district approvals);
(e) cannot obtain permits or would violate zoning or AHJ requirements;
(f) is not financially or operationally feasible due to program budgets, incentives, equipment availability, or material changes in costs;
(g) involves inaccurate, incomplete, or unverifiable information, fraud, or misuse of incentives;
(h) would prevent ARC from complying with consumer-protection, privacy, marketing, or sales-ethics standards set by Illinois law, the ICC, or the IPA/Illinois Shines program; or
(i) requires additional equipment, upgrades, or services requested by the Customer that are not included in ARC’s no-cost PPA scope—including but not limited to energy storage/battery systems, main panel upgrades, service or meter upgrades, structural modifications, or non-solar electrical work—unless separately agreed in writing and paid for by the Customer. Such items are outside the Illinois Shines incentive and will not be included in the no-cost portion of the project.
Nothing in this clause limits any customer cancellation rights provided under Illinois law (including right to rescission) or the Illinois Shines/IPA Program Guidebook. ARC will not make eligibility decisions based on any protected characteristic under applicable civil-rights laws. If ARC declines a project, ARC will provide a brief written reason upon request and, when feasible, indicate corrective steps or alternative options.
